With over a decade in film, Jonathan Baptiste is a dynamic Producer, Director, Writer, and Actor dedicated to crafting authentic stories that resonate across cultures and generations. A graduate of the University of Miami’s renowned Film Program, he blends academic excellence with a sharp creative instinct and real-world perspective.
Jonathan’s journey began with early training at the New York Film Academy and Miami’s leading acting studios, where he honed both performance and directorial skills. His documentary Excelencia Afro explores the resilience and richness of Afro-Latin communities, while his short film Captain Bronn follows a former slave turned pirate in a story rooted in Caribbean mysticism, identity, and rebellion.
Whether working behind or in front of the camera, Jonathan brings discipline, empathy, and vision to every frame—committed to pushing boundaries and elevating voices often left unheard.
What’s Next for Baptiste Productions
From intimate documentaries to genre-bending narratives, Jonathan Baptiste continues to expand the scope of independent storytelling. New projects are currently in development, including a full-length adaptation of Captain Bronn and an original docuseries exploring diasporic identities across the Caribbean and Latin America.
