Jonathan Baptiste is a multi-talented Producer, Director, Writer, and Actor with over a decade of experience in the film and entertainment industry. A graduate student in the University of Miami’s prestigious Film Program, Jonathan brings a powerful blend of cinematic vision and real-world storytelling to every project he touches.

He began his performance training at the New York Film Academy and honed his acting craft at Miami Acting Studio in Wynwood and MCS Acting Studio in Miami. His passion for authentic narratives led him to produce and direct Excelencia Afro, a documentary spotlighting Afro-Colombian communities in partnership with the Colombian government and local organizations.

Jonathan also developed and directed Captain Bronn, a striking proof-of-concept short film centered on a former slave turned pirate in the 1800s. Set against the backdrop of colonization and infused with themes of Caribbean voodoo culture, religion, friendship, and sacrifice, the film explores identity and resilience in a richly imagined world.

With more projects in development, Jonathan continues to push the boundaries of independent storytelling—merging culture, history, and emotional depth.

Outside of film, Jonathan is also an accomplished airline Captain for American Airlines, with over 11 years of experience flying both General Aviation and Jet Aircraft.
